Best Math Tuition Singapore Lesson 25

LESSON 25 SYNOPSIS (2 Jun – 7 Jun 2025)

02 June 2025

At Matrix Math, we provide an engaging and detailed learning experience for your child. Matrix Math Tuition programme focuses on essential concepts that will further strengthen their mathematical foundation. The lesson synopsis gives parents a clear preview of the topics and problem-solving skills that will be covered in class. At Matrix Math, we ensure that each lesson is designed to build confidence and mastery in math, preparing students for success in both school and beyond.

Primary 1 Lesson 25

In Lesson 25, we will continue our exploration of “Numbers to 40.” In this lesson, we will revisit the concept of “More than/Less than” and extend it to the “Comparison of Quantity” concept.

The “Comparison of Quantity” concept at this stage consists of three variations that we will cover:

  • Find the Smaller Group.
  • Find the Bigger Group.
  • Find the Difference.

Mastering these concepts is essential for building a strong foundation in number sense and developing critical thinking skills in mathematics.

Primary 2 Lesson 25

Lesson 25, we will be continuing our exploration of the topic “Money 2.”

This lesson will cover four key problem-solving concepts related to multiplication involving money. The concepts we will cover include:

  • Total concept – Find value in 1 group.
  • Total concept – Repeat application.
  • Total concept – Regrouping with no remainder.
  • Total concept – Regrouping twice with no remainder.

These concepts will help students understand more complex money-related problem-sums.

Primary 3 Lesson 25

In Lesson 25, we will continue with Fractions (Lesson 2) by introducing four key types of problem sums. This lesson will help students develop a deeper understanding of fraction concepts through structured visual models.

The four problem types we will focus on are:

  • Solving fraction word problems with different denominators using the part-whole model.
  • Solving word problems involving arithmetic operations with fractions of different denominators.
  • Using the comparison model to solve fraction word problems.
  • Solving fraction word problems involving external transfers between parties or groups.

Primary 4 Lesson 25

In Lesson 25, the topics and concepts we will revisit include the following:

  • Fractions as quantity and units
  • Interval concepts
  • Factors and multiples
  • Fractions as values and fractions as units
  • Internal and external transfer
  • Comparison by units with further splitting
  • Grouping

We aim to provide your child with a comprehensive review of these key concepts and further enhance their understanding.

Primary 5 Lesson 25

In Lesson 25, we will continue revising previously taught topics and concepts, focusing on higher-order problem-solving techniques related to Whole Numbers and Fractions.

During this revision session, we will also introduce our students to a commonly tested pattern concept – common difference. This concept will be a valuable addition to their mathematical toolkit, enhancing their ability to recognise and solve pattern-based problems.

Primary 6 Lesson 25

This week, we will introduce a new topic: “Area of Triangles.” During these lessons, we will be covering the following key concepts:

Ratio expression in triangles: Students will learn how to apply basic ratios concepts within triangles.

Identifying common bases in triangles: We will teach students how to identify and utilise the common base concepts in questions with multiple triangles.

The ratio in terms of base and height: Students will learn how to express ratios using base and height components, further expanding their understanding of triangles.

Application of common base and height concept: We will demonstrate applications of the common base and height concept.
