Primary 1 Lesson 31

Our primary objective for this week is to revise the previously learned concepts. We will take this opportunity to consolidate the children’s understanding and application of various problem-solving techniques, aiming to reinforce their skills and address any areas of potential confusion.

Primary 2 Lesson 31

This week, we will continue our exploration of Fractions 2.

During this lesson, we will delve deeper into the application of fractions in problem-solving. Specifically, we will focus on “Part and Whole.” This concept is frequently tested in Primary 2 and involves various problem-solving approaches. The following variations of “Part and Whole” will be covered:

Find part
Find total parts.
Find a part of another part
Find the difference between 2 parts

Primary 3 Lesson 31

This week, we will continue with “Measurement 4.“

During this lesson, we will introduce three methods that can be applied to problem-solving.

Equal Elimination Method
Shape Method.
Working Forward Using Difference.

By covering these methods, we aim to enhance students’ problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills, and overall understanding of measurement concepts.

Primary 4 Lesson 31

Next week, we will continue with Decimals 4.

During this lesson, we will explore the following key concepts:

Solving problem sums by simultaneously considering multiple variables or unknowns with replacement.
Applying the simultaneous concept to problem sums that involve three unknown variables.
Using the working forward method to determine the value of units in decimal-related questions.
Applying the concept of finding change while considering the unchanged difference in decimal calculations.

It is important to note that the simultaneous concept is a fundamental arithmetic skill that can be widely applied to various problem-solving situations.

Primary 5 Lesson 31

In Lesson 31, we will dive deeper into the topic of “Percentage 3.” Our focus will be on solving heuristics problem sums that involve percentages. We will explore the following key areas:

Identifying a common base: Students will learn to identify a common base when dealing with percentage problem sums. This approach simplifies calculations and enhances problem-solving efficiency.
Percentage change and percentage difference: Students will learn to calculate the increase or decrease in a value as a percentage of the original amount. They will understand how to find the percentage change by comparing the old and new values.

Primary 6 Lesson 31

This week, we will continue with PSLE Revision Lesson 5.

This lesson will involve a systematic review and practice of essential topics, concepts, and problem-solving methods commonly tested in the PSLE. We aim to strengthen students’ understanding, problem-solving abilities, and confidence as they prepare for the upcoming examination.

Active participation and completing the assigned additional practice exercises are crucial for effective revision. These exercises are designed to align with the PSLE requirements, providing students with valuable exposure to the types of questions they may encounter and opportunities to apply their knowledge and skills effectively.
