Up to 4 concepts will be covered in each lesson where students will learn to identify the concept in each word problem and choose the most efficient method to tackle it through practice.
Students are assessed on their understanding of the concepts at the end of every lesson and trainers will provide feedback to parents and indicate the level of guidance required by the student for each type of concept, as well as their performance in the practice questions.
Ebbinghaus Forgetting Curve explains that reviewing lessons at regular intervals increases retention. Over time, less frequent review is needed.
Matrix Math's programme is designed to inject regular review of concepts learned along with issuing supplementary worksheets with similar word problems taught in the lessons as home practice to further cement the concepts learnt in the student's mind.
Nearing the examination period, students will practice on Select Papers consisting of problems from different topics and concepts.
